About Us
Jive Connection is an organisation dedicated to promoting the art of East Coast Swing Jive and Jitterbug dance. Rooted in the late 1930's and 40's, this exciting and energetic dance form is an ideal focal point for a corporate event or fun group activity such as a work social or private party. We can provide dance expertise and DJ services.

Overview
Jive Connection was founded by Nick Kirby AISTD in the summer of 1995. Since it's beginnings Jive Connection has gone from strength to strength and participated in many events, such as documentary, TV and film work, corporate entertainment, displays, workshops and fundraising events. Nick Kirby AISTD trained with the Royal Ballet and has over 25 years experience as a professional dancer, and dance teacher. Our dancers, instructors and assistants have a wide range of skills and experience in dancing and music from the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. Expertise in Swing, Rhythm & Blues, Rock n' Roll and period themed events.

Planning your event
The Jive Connection team are happy to assist you in the planning of your event; lessons, workshops, display dancing, and demonstrations with or without period costume can be arranged. Feel free to mail us your questions.

How can we help your event be a success?
Exciting and vibrant Swing Jazz music and accompanying dancers in period costume if required. A visual spectacle through dazzling dance demonstrations. Audience participation, through workshops and lessons.

Breaking the ice: An entertaining and easy to follow dance class to get your party off to a good start, avoid those awkward introductions, long silences and empty dance floors. We can provide assistant instructors/dancers to invite your friends, customers and employees up to dance making the most of the music be it a DJ or a Jazz band. Or we can just dance for their entertainment.

We offer DJ services, music that fits with the dance and brings you the hottest selections of Swing-Jive tracks by an expert DJ. Bookings for bands can also be catered for. In short we can bring that authentic touch to your themed event, cprporate day out or private party.
